経木の蓮弁皿

木工の仕事をしていて一番美しいと感じるのは、
鉋を薄くかけ、それまで閉じ込められていた内側の木の香りがふっと立ち上った瞬間です。
その瞬間を、できるだけそのまま形にしたいと思ったのが
この商品を作りはじめたきっかけです。
割り箸の素晴らしさは、簡単に使い捨てできる事ではなく、
「その瞬間にしか存在しない道具であり、そのために完全に清浄なこと」
だと考え、それは神宮が式年遷宮を行うことと同じ理由であると感じています。
そしてこれは、そんな意味を持った真っ白な木のお皿です。
材料は日本の杉や檜をスライスしただけのもので、
紙のお皿に比べ、ほとんどエネルギーを使わず、有害な廃棄物も一切でません。
また現在の日本では、積極的に針葉樹を使う事が美しい山に戻すことにも繋がっています。
使い終わりましたら、少しだけ山の事を想像して、自然に還してみてください。
The most beautiful moment is the scent hangs in the air when I plane the wood.
And It inspired me to make this production. I wanted to form that beautiful moment.
I think the wonderfulness of Disposable chopsticks is not easiness to throw away it is the tool only exist that moment and integrally immaculate.
It is same as the Shikinen Sengu (Construction of a new shrine) of Ise shrine. Ise shrine is the special place for Japanese.
It has reconstructed every 20 years from 1300 years ago. 65 of shrine buildings, attire, treasure, and bridge are revamped to keep the holy environment pure and clean.
Therefor this plate is significantly pure.
The material is only sliced Japanese cedar or cypress so it doesn’t use much energy and zero hazardous waste.
Today in Japan using needle leaf tree aggressively is lead to regenerate the beautiful mountain.
Please imagine the mountain for a moment when you finish to use and flow in the river or return to the earth.
